As of January 1 of next year, the electronic mobile control file (EECM) will be available to taxpayers, a service related to the actions carried out at the national level by the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) referred to the transfer of goods by land, reported the collecting entity.

The objective of the EECM is to expedite the procedures related to the interventions carried out by the Sunat in the mobile control posts where it is verified that the documentation that supports the shipment and transfer of the goods complies with the requirements established with the current regulations.

In accordance with Superintendency Resolution No. 260-2022/Sunat, the electronic records of mobile control will be generated automatically at the time of issuance of the electronic evidence.

This will allow taxpayers, through their SOL password, to have remote access to the aforementioned file and its actions for the respective follow-up and the possibility of managing, online, a quick response in attention to their procedures.

The new service will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (24/7) on the Sunat portal. Initially, it is expected to generate more than 7,000 electronic records.

Strategy

The digitization of these and other processes are part of Sunat’s digital transformation strategy.

The objective is to facilitate and reduce the costs of tax and customs compliance for taxpayers and users of foreign trade, indicated the Sunat.
